MetroMan Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to MetroMan (hereinafter referred to as the "Service"). By accessing our website (metroman.cn) or using the MetroMan mobile applications (including both iOS and Android versions), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms of Service (the "Terms").

Service Entity Designation:

• If you download the Service via Google Play, Apple App Store, or access the Service outside of mainland China, these Terms constitute a binding agreement between you and Expanse LLC (Registered in Yokohama, Japan).
• If you download the Service via Chinese domestic app stores (e.g., Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo, Honor) or access the Service within mainland China, these Terms constitute a binding agreement between you and Beijing MetroMan Technology Co., Ltd. (Registered in Beijing, China).

If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, please immediately cease using the Service.

2. Scope of Service and License

2.1 License Grant: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the Service solely for personal, non-commercial purposes.

2.2 Core Functions: The Service provides tools for metro route inquiry, station navigation, and transfer planning. While we strive to provide accurate data, we do not guarantee the absolute real-time accuracy of the information.

3. User Conduct and Prohibited Acts

In using the Service, you agree not to engage in the following:

• Strict Prohibition of Data Scraping: Without prior written permission, you are strictly prohibited from using any robot, spider, crawler, script, or other automated means to collect transit data, pricing information, interface content, or any back-end data from the Service.
• Reverse Engineering: You may not decompile, disassemble, modify, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service.
• Illegal Use: You may not use the Service for any purpose that violates local laws and regulations.
• Interference: You may not attempt to breach the security, interfere with the proper working of our servers, or bypass any security measures of the Service.

4. Intellectual Property

All content within the Service—including but not limited to software code, UI design, map icons, original route maps, text descriptions, and the "MetroMan" trademark—is the exclusive property of Expanse LLC, Beijing MetroMan Technology Co., Ltd., or their respective licensors. Unauthorized use, modification, reproduction, or distribution of the aforementioned content is strictly prohibited.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties (Important)

5.1 Data Accuracy: Transit data (schedules, fares, routes) is provided based on information from third-party public transport operators or public sources. Actual conditions may vary due to operational changes, temporary station closures, equipment failure, traffic congestion, or data delays. 5.2 No Warranty: The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." We do not guarantee uninterrupted service and shall not be liable for any missed connections, delays, loss of itinerary, personal injury, or any other direct or indirect losses resulting from reliance on the Service. We strongly recommend referring to real-time station announcements and official operator notices for critical trips.

5.3 Third-Party Links: The Service may contain mapping services or advertising links provided by third parties. The accuracy, legality, and security of such links are the independent responsibility of those third parties.

6. Subscription and Paid Services (Core Terms)

Certain premium features of the Service (e.g., Pro Membership) require a paid subscription.

6.1 Subscription Types

• Monthly Subscription: Billed monthly, auto-renews until canceled.
• Yearly Subscription: Billed annually, auto-renews until canceled (offering the best value).
• Lifetime Pro: A one-time payment for permanent access to Pro features; this plan does not involve auto-renewal.

6.2 Auto-Renewal Mechanism

• Billing: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at the confirmation of purchase.
• Automatic Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless you manually turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Renewal Confirmation: Within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, the system will automatically charge your account for the renewal.

6.3 Management and Cancellation (Important)

You may manage or cancel your subscription at any time. Please note that uninstalling the app does not automatically cancel your subscription.

• iOS Users (App Store): Go to System "Settings" > [Your Name] > "Subscriptions" > Find "MetroMan" > Tap "Cancel Subscription."
• Android Users (Google Play): Open the Google Play Store app > Tap the profile icon > "Payments & Subscriptions" > "Subscriptions" > Find "MetroMan" > Tap "Cancel Subscription."

6.4 Free Trial

If you select a plan that includes a "Free Trial," the system will automatically convert it into a paid subscription upon expiry unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Each account is typically limited to one free trial.

6.5 Refund Policy

All transactions are processed by the respective app stores (Apple or Google). The developer cannot process refunds directly.

• iOS Users: Please visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Android Users: Please follow the official Google Play refund process via the Google Play Help Center.
• Refund approvals are subject to the policies of the respective platforms.

7. Changes and Termination of Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Service or any of its functions at any time based on operational needs. Your license to use the Service will terminate automatically without notice or liability if you breach any part of these Terms.

8. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

8.1 Global Users (Expanse LLC):

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute arising from the Service shall first be resolved through friendly consultation. If consultation fails, both parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Yokohama District Court.

8.2 Mainland China Users (Beijing MetroMan Technology Co., Ltd.):

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Any dispute shall be submitted to the court with jurisdiction over the registered address of Beijing MetroMan Technology Co., Ltd.
