Currently, 12 cities nationwide have a metro line numbered "10". The first to open was Beijing Metro Line 10, which is also currently the busiest line in Beijing by passenger flow. Additionally, Line 10 is under construction in three other cities and is expected to open successively in the coming years.
Scheduled to open this month is the West Extension of Shanghai Metro Line 2. The line will extend one station westward from the National Exhibition and Convention Center Station (formerly East Xujing) to Panxiang Road · Shanghai National Accounting Institute Station.
