The first new line to open in 2026, Phase 1 of Ningbo Rail Transit Line 6, officially began operations starting from the first train on Friday, January 16.
The line spans 35.5 kilometers with 23 stations, with future provisions to extend to the Ningbo West Hub (Ningbo West Railway Station). The line utilizes fully automated 6-car B2-type trains and features passing loops to support express train services.
Initial operating hours for Line 6 are from 6:00 to 22:00. Headways are 6 minutes during peak hours, 8 minutes during off-peak hours, and 10 minutes during low-peak periods.
Please note that the internal transfer passages at Zhengda Road Station and Cuibaili Station are currently not yet open. Passengers must complete transfers via at-grade (out-of-station) walking.
- Transit QR Code Users: Swipe in and out normally; transfers completed within 30 minutes will not incur additional charges.
- Physical Card & Ticket Users: Passengers using single-journey tickets, public transport IC cards, commemorative tickets, or UnionPay ODA should collect a "Transfer Voucher" from staff when exiting the gates. Use this voucher to continue the next leg of your journey.
