Dongguan Metro Line 1 officially opened for operation on November 28. To facilitate cross-city travel for citizens, Dongguan Bus simultaneously launched a shuttle bus service connecting the Dongguan Metro with the Shenzhen Metro: the Guan-Shen Smooth Travel Connection Line (Guan Route 747 Interval Line).
After exiting from "Meitang Station", the terminus of Dongguan Metro Line 1, passengers can take this shuttle bus for a one-stop ride directly to "Shenligong Station" on the Shenzhen Metro Line 6 Branch. The service operates from 6:30 to 22:30, with intervals of 10-15 minutes, and the fare is only 3 RMB.
Looking ahead, both Dongguan Metro Line 1 and Shenzhen Metro Line 6 are planned to extend by one station each, eventually connecting at "Huangjiangnan Station." At that time, the rail transit systems of Shenzhen and Dongguan will achieve a physical network connection, allowing passengers to transfer without needing to exit the station.
