Between Suzhou and Kunshan, choose a few stops.
The through line links Shishan, Shihu and Kunshan’s old streets and Tinglin Park. Choose a small area rather than trying to cover the entire cross-city route.

This guide follows the combined Line 3/11 route from Suzhou New District Railway Station to Huaqiao. Destinations and stopping patterns can differ; check platform displays and current times.

01Suzhou Museum West
History beside Shishan Hill
Explore regional history and Suzhou craftsmanship at the Shishan site, separate from the main museum beside the Humble Administrator's Garden.
From Shizishan, head to the West Museum at 399 Changjiang Road. The main museum on Dongbei Street is a separate site.

02Northern Shihu lakeside
Open up the view in the south
Lake views, paths and distant hills offer a slower stop in the south of the city. Pick one waterfront section instead of trying to cover the whole scenic area.
From Shihubei, head towards the northern part of Shihu. Choose an entrance and walking section; Shangfang Hill requires a separate onward connection.

Zhengyi Old Street
An old-street break on the cross-city line
Explore traditional streets and local snacks, including the area's green rice cakes.
From Zhengyi station, navigate to your chosen section or shop in Zhengyi Old Street; allow time for the onward walk or ride.

04Tinglin Garden
Make time for Kunshan’s garden and hill
Explore hills and cultural sites associated with Gu Yanwu in central Kunshan.
From Yushan Square, continue to Tinglin Park’s entrance. The park includes uphill sections; shorten the visit if needed.

Pair Zhengyi Old Street with Tinglin Park. If starting in central Suzhou, add the cross-city travel time separately.

Walk a section of Zhengyi Old Street or stop for a meal, then return to the metro.

A little planning goes a long way.
Huaqiao transfers: temporary changes through 10 November 2026
The official notice closes the east/west transfer corridors and dedicated app-based transfer passages at Huaqiao from 27 October to 10 November 2026. Follow staff signs to the central corridor or outdoor square route when changing to Shanghai Line 11, and allow extra time.
